Radiance of the Seas
The Radiance of the Seas is in a class above similar vessels. The vessel was built in the year 2000 and refurbished in 2016. Royal Caribbean has taken a good ship and raised it to another level.
I worked aboard the Radiance of the Seas during the summer of 2019. However, as I have mentioned previously from the beginning of my blog creation, my sharing is of creating an interest and in sharing of my personal experiences from the perspective of a passenger and NOT from that of what my position aboard ship required.
Having said that, Royal Caribbean, a leader in the cruise industry, continues to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and hospitality across the onboard experience. No more apparent in that regard is their loyalty program: Crown and Anchor. As you explore the benefits with this program, you will see how the word ‘loyalty’ is well deserved. The Program continues to grow offering new levels of rewards to frequent guests in recognition of their loyalty. You do not achieve this level of status in a cruise line unless you have developed a devoted following of travelers.
The particulars of the Radiance of the Seas; amenities, decks, dining and vessel staterooms and capacity can all be found on their website.
I will share with you an onboard experience with you during my time aboard as an Ocean Ranger. During my deployment aboard the Radiance of the Seas, I met with the Captain on the Bridge who presented me with a model of the vessel. RCCL is committed to and shares in the values of protecting and preserving the environment. However, I was not able to keep the gift. As I was on my way to my stateroom, I passed a young woman and her son. I introduced myself and explained about my recent meeting with the Captain on the Bridge of the vessel. I asked her if her son could accept the model as a gift and memory of the cruise. He looked at his mother who said, ‘I think we can make room in our luggage’. The young lad looked at me and said, ‘thank you’. It was a great day.
